Little Foxes is entirely run by volunteers, with no paid staff. This means that all the money donated to Little
Foxes can go directly to the care of the animals.

Our Fosterers
In addition to the animals that remain with Penny for the duration of their stay, a team of nine trusted and trained
fosterers also take on the care of some of the animals, in particular some of the orphans.
Penny says "We are very fortunate to have such a dedicated team of fosterers.
"Some people find they have a particular aptitude and affinity with a particular species, and I now regard these
fosterers as experts in dealing with certain orphans.
"For example, we have
carers who have taken a particular shine to, amongst others, woodpigeon babies, baby hedgehogs, swifts, blackbirds,
ducklings and orphaned baby rabbits and hares.
"Their experience in caring for these animals has given them a deep insight into their needs and how best to
help them to thrive.
"I cannot deny that for
me, the fox cubs are the dearest to my heart, but I also find myself every year gladly taking on the rearing of deer
fawns, badger cubs, birds of prey etc. etc. etc.!"

Our Secretary, Treasurer & Helpers
Little Foxes also relies on the help of those who will run errands, fetch and carry, deal with admin tasks such as sending
out the Newsletter, and take on special roles such as Membership Secretary and Treasurer, relieving the hard-pressed
animal carers of some of the burden.
